RUSH in August?

place last Saturday, with thirty people on hand to join in!
Some new faces, some faces we had not seen for quite a while,
and lots of friendly familiar faces. With that many folks
it took us quite a while to make the first circle-around of
song! and those of us "hard-core" songlovers kept going
until around 11:15 or so - setting a record for the RUSH
marathon, I think.
Actually this makes me curious ... lately we have seen a
pretty definite trend, that LOTS of people come to the RUSH
when it is on the Amherst side of the river, but way fewer
when it is on the Northampton side. Even though more people
live on that side. How come? Any theories, anybody?
Speaking of Northampton, in August it would be Northampton's
"turn" for a RUSH. Will anybody on that side offer to host
an August RUSH? (Myself, I will be in Maine then.) If so,
please let me know so I can put out the word.
Joy says, "We also had several items left here after the
party--a small ceramic bowl decorated with sunflowers and
a piece of jewelry which appears to be either a huge
earring or a pendant shaped like a cactus with a circle
of beads above it." Yours, maybe?
So - keep singing my fine musical friends, and I look
forward to seeing you again in September, perhaps the 12th.
