From the Blackstone Parks Conservancy:

his year we are celebrating Earth Day on Thursday April 23, with a cleanup along the Seekonk River shoreline, in collaboration with Save the Bay, from 5:30 to 7:00 PM.

Shoreline trash is ugly and dangerous to wildlife, and shoreline cleanups are a great way for volunteers to make a difference. Join us and Save the Bay at Blackstone Field, across from the Narragansett Boat Club (2 River Drive, Providence, RI 02906).

• Please register with Save the Bay
• Bring your own water – we recommend a reusable bottle!
• Bring garden or work gloves (disposable gloves available).
• Wear sturdy closed-toe shoes, long pants, and dress for the weather.
• Save resources by bringing your own trash grabber and bucket for collecting trash (optional).
