Hi all,

I spent the entire night, last night, with Jim and Daniel working on the PV project. In fact, I should say that I assisted Jim who took the lead.
We revised what was still to be done, and advanced on the software side, integrating the new orientation sensor, and on the mechanics side.

I'll let Jim explain the technical details... I went to sleep at 7am, he was still working at 11am.

So, we're sprinting towards our new deadline, end of this week.

Hey everyone,
The new motor works great, will try to put up some videos tonight.
I have created a branch for integrating the BNO055 IMU. Have a look at it and join me online tonight as I take a crack at that :)
In readme.txt you can find the serial commands. I am using the discovered angleOffsetPitch/angleOffsetRoll to move the gimbal.
For those of you just tuning in, this is a hack using an open source gimbal controler and its software. It is inexpensive and easily available online and contains all the electronics we chose in the earlier milestones of this project. A decision was made to change the IMU for a self calibrating one that uses a chip made from BOSCH. This takes the fusion algorithms off of the microcontroller as well.
Its amazing how this design can have multiple functionalities! Wait 'till you see a video of it action!.
