A winning fireworks show should include some current pop hits, and Katy Perry's "Firework" fits perfectly. The lyrics are exciting and appropriate for all ages, and playing a fun dance hit like this helps get the crowd going and give variety to an evening of fireworks displays. Pair a Bombshell with Bomb Shell.
This awe-inspiring theme to the 1984 classic baseball film starring Robert Redford works magic when played at firework displays. My kids absolutely love this song, and I think it is excellently crafted pop. However, though your comment about her pipes are on in terms of volume,to my ears she sounds like she is constantly on the edge of being in tune when she goes full-throat.
Wonder insight to this track which on many levels has show it to be a hit. I've focused on music my like a toy or game neglecting the struture of song arrangement, which i've more changing to have the balance. I'll be applying aspects of this to my next album. Your posts have been a valid learning curve.
I really appreciate that you don't skip material like this in your analysis, just because it's "pop".
So many people completely discount the difficulty of creating "pop" or "top 40" music and end up missing out on some really well crafted music.
Sure, the 8hr. pop song challenge on youtube is entertaining, but it really only serves to show how many musicians have less respect than they should for the effort it takes to create popular music.
The new fireworks show skips over music from the 1960s through the 1980s when the animation studio struggled without the guiding hand of founder Walt Disney. The show also musically ignores the 2000s when Pixar was ascendant and the Disney studio was searching for its footing in the CGI era.
Our Low Noise firework displays omit all the fireworks that conventionally would bang, pop, produce harsh high-pitched whistling or loud crackling sounds. Although the size of the explosions in the sky is reduced, our low noise firework displays are designed to leave nothing out except for the noise. The UK Firework Company will create a show that will light up the sky and not upset the neighbours!

(CBS) - I'm from Texas, so always have a little place in my heart for some country music and southern humor. This is probably why I happen to enjoy watching a little YouTube show called "Joe and Buzz," which has just released an amusing country cover of Katy Perry's song "Firework" in the above video. Check it out.
Can anyone provide a simple rhyme about fireworks for us to use for our rhyme of the week after our 2-week half term? [Yes, I know!!] I've looked on the Northumberland GFL site, and the American Rhyme a Week, both of which I often use, but there's nothing. Anything else I've found has been far too wordy for this age group, especially as we have the little ones in with the preschoolers.
Love all the rhymes. Thanks for sharing your rockets Magenta, i shall definitely use them during the week. I have attached a firework lotto game I have just made. I saw this ideas suggested in a book. Basically, you say the noises and the children tell you the sounds they can hear at the beginning, middle and end. Hope it's useful to someone.
Magenta, thanks for the firework rhyme. I've altered it to 5 Little Fireworks for my children as I don't think they have the patience for 10! I also had to alter the rocket pictures as the originals would not cut and paste.
Magenta, thank you so much for your firework attachment. I printed it off and laminated it along with the poem and our pre-school really loved it. We were all exhausted after a week of singing it over and over, but wow, excellent learning opportunity - it flowed over into our PE activity too with the children lining up and being the rockets, or whatever kind of firework they chose. Thanks again! Keep posting such great stuff.

An overused 'make your firework do go with a bang' phrase, anyone? How about the infamous 'or it might turn into a damp squib'? (Or 'damp squid', if you get the wrong sub-editor) If you're tired of the bonfire night wordplay clichés, I'll let you off!
The idea is that they are hot (or cool) tunes you can actually enjoy celebrating/chilling with. AND they include firework-related words in the title. Putting the fun in functional. You're most welcome.
