Mundalama police arrested five persons including a Tiger ‘Captain’ and a person who is suspected to have sold 20 motor cycles to the LTTE. The suspect said to be an LTTE Captain known as ‘Isai Mugalan’ was arrested in Kattakadawa, Mangalaeliya. Meanwhile, a lorry driver, a cleaner and the driver’s wife, who had allegedly transported explosives to Colombo, have also been arrested, they are residents of Mundalama, Sapirigama and Norochcholai areas.

The dealer who had supplied motor cycles to LTTE had confessed that he had sold them 20 bikes.The suspects have been detained for further interrogation.
