Emergency Operations Center Level: 3: Monitoring Activation
County Situation:
Putnam County Emergency Services is responding to a brush fire that is approximately a 20 acres in size. Whispering Pine Command has been established. This fire was initially a controlled burn. The fire is located in the in the Georgetown area near the Whispering Pines Subdivision.
County Actions:
Multiple Putnam County Volunteer Fire Stations and Putnam County Emergency Management are on scene. The Department of Forestry is has resources on site. Air-2 services have been requested at this time. ESF-6 Mass Care has been placed on Standby.

This Afternoon: Sunny, with a high near 84. Breezy,
with an east wind around 15 mph.
Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low
around 57. East wind between 7 and 10 mph becoming calm.
Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a
high near 84. Calm wind becoming east between 4 and 7 mph.
Saturday Night: Partly cloudy,
with a low around 60. East wind between 5 and 8 mph becoming calm.
