Putnam County Emergency Operations Center: Monitoring Situation

County Situation & Actions:  

 

The Putnam County EOC is partially activated to support a response to an approximately 100+/- acre wildfire in a undeveloped area of the Mondex Subdivision, west of SR 19 and north of Pinellas Street (STR 30-10-26). No personal injuries or threats to residential structures have been reported at this time. Putnam County Department of Emergency Services and PCARES have staffed the Putnam County EOC and are currently fulfilling resource and information requests to support field operations.

 

By way of information, on May 13, 2008, the Putnam County Board of County Commissioners declared a Local State of Emergency and Emergency Order as provided for by Chapter 252 Florida Statues and by Putnam County Ordinance No. 96-14. On June 10, 2008, the Local State of Emergency and Executive Order regarding opening burring originally dated May 13, 2008 was extended for seven (7) days through June 17, 2008.
