Hi,

The Solr schema included with Purpose does not match the more-or-less standard Schema used by Sunspot and Web Solr. What's the deal here? Why do we have a different schema and who should change?

Thanks,
N.

PS: The Procfile included with Purpose is badly broken.

I'm not using the Purpose platform... just watching from the sidelines, but I've used custom schemas with WebSolr. You can apply them fairly easily through their web UI.

Hi Noel,

It looks like Procfile has syntax that Foreman can handle if bash is available to set defaults. However, I think that we shouldn't assume it's available everywhere, so it's probably a good idea to remove it.

Is bash available in your local setup?

solr/conf/schema.xml is generated when you run `bundle exec rake sunspot:solr:run` locally by sunspot_rails

Thanks,
John
