PurePDF Reader parsing errors on newer PDF files

Out of 22 more-or-less randomly selected PDF files that were on my computer, 7 of them cannot be parsed (readPdf()) by PurePDF.
Most of the errors seem to have something to do with the xref.
Most of the files were probably created with Adobe software, but other Adobe-created files work fine. I'm happy to supply example files if anyone is interested.
Are any updates to PurePDF planned that might fix the problem?
