We've created a new site to help draw in more Dev's and now we're at the point we need more involvement from the community Dev's

To this date between Ethan's efforts and Mine, We've created these built Roots using Darwinbuild which is far from being a dead project(macOS still uses darwinup)
Here we've created a Status.md on our current efforts and Roots that have been built seen here https://puredarwin.github.io/Status.md It gets an update Daily.
We're currently working off of 10.12.3 Code for now and will make changes to go to macOS 10.12.4 code once it drops.

We hope to get a release ready to Show and debut in BSDMag shortly.

So if you have the time to come join us please do we sure could use your help.

Thanks

The main gripe i had when I tried building on PureDarwin few years ago,
is that it is not self-contained. You need xcodebuild to build
anything.

I was successful in adding autotools to many packages, but it was
a Sisyphean effort.

You really need full MacOS to do anything for PureDarwin.
And once you have that, why bother with PureDarwin if you already have
"the real thing"?
(Possible reason, why there is so low interest in PureDarwin ATM.)

smoku,

Agreed but we are currently working to fix this issue with our own toolchain that will support xcode projects without pissing off Apple.

Also I've managed to build Perl/Python/Ruby using a modified version of Darwinbuild and updated sources from their communities.

We're hoping to get some other devs back to help us fix some of the smaller problems like networking and usb as such.
