Mail from GCS

I have recently received a mail from GCS, asking me to create an
account at their website and fill up my profile details including a
resume for evaluation.
Have you all received this mail?

They say that as the companies will start viewing your resume by the 19th of september, it ll be better for
us to start working early on our resume.

My username for the GCS account is my personal email id - the gmail one...  shouldnt it be the purdue Id...  Is anyone else facing this issue. 
Besides, the CMA tutorial specifically mentions our id should be the purdue id. !

It is the same with me. My personal id and not the purdue has been
used.
As i have not checked the tutorial or filled up details at the moment
so, I have no idea.
But, i guess it is ok, they might change the user name earlier. It
should not be wrong for more than one person.
How is it for everyone else.

I have not gone through the CMA Tutorial, but it reflected my personal gmail-id only.

Have you finalized on the place you are going to stay? If not, how did you go about filling up the DS-160, as it requires you to state the place of stay once in the US.

I think i mentioned that i will live on campus. i have not mentioned
the address properly at the moment. I think they will understand. it
is impossible to finalise anything sitting here. you can have certain
options to look into.

Has anyone completed the GCS registration process ?
Got a reminder mail which stated I should have uploaded a draft resume
by now.


The registration procedure document referred to some deadline before
which we have to complete the registration.
But I did not come across any specific date being mentioned in the e-
mails or GCS website.

Is anyone aware of any such deadline?

Good. But dont delay the process too much. One can never be sure of
what may go wrong at the last moment.
I didnt have my loan approved when I got the visa. I had only
submitted my file and it was still under review. Bank gave me a letter
saying that all my papers were in order and that there was a good
chance of my loan being approved.
In fact, my loan is still not approved. But, I expect it to happen in
the next couple of days.
