Good morning all,

I know we've done away with the big dinner format of previous Annual Spring Socials but I asked Jim last Sunday if we have started anything for this year's? Roy, are there certain dates we still try to work around based on a speaker and our Lafayette support?

Let me know how I can help and if we plan to do one this year. I think that could determine when, and if, we do another euchre/networking social for Q2 as it might be a lot to get people to attend both in the April/May window.

Just throwing this out there for EVERYONE's feedback. Thanks

Last year we cancelled the spring dinner and replaced it with the Euchre Tournament. I am not sure what the best plan of action is for this year...I like how easy the euchre events have been for us to run (compared to the dinner) but we arent getting very big numbers.

We could try for a happy hour type social sometime - those have gotten decent numbers in the past. I am kind of out of ideas on what we can do to get decent numbers. Nothing seems to work other than its just random chance!

Do we have to time anything around West Lafayette? I think the happy hour/euchre/networking idea is a good one and fun. We just need a place with some space so I can think about a brewery for that?

I think we should still do a silent auction since that helps raise money, HOWEVER, everyone has to try and get things. Unless you guys think the auction is a waste of time. When we sold the raffle tickets that one time, did that boost things in terms of $$$?

If someone is coming out from west lafayette we may have to time things, but we dont have to do that. Sometimes its nice to have a speaker though. I have some possible local options for speakers as well.
