New Scholarship Endowment Update: Last year, it was announced that the University Development Office had decided to increase the financial amount required to establish a new scholarship endowment, effective for clubs starting 7/1/2020. Original communication is attached to this email for reference. We were just notified that they have decided to extend this date to 1/1/2021, given the circumstances regarding the inability to host your spring fundraising events and the postponement of Purdue Day of Giving to a later date (yet to be announced) this year due to COVID-19. This decision provides our alumni clubs an additional six months to raise funds to create a new scholarship endowment at their previous requirements. NOTE: This does not have any effect on existing scholarship endowments.
PAA Staff Update: Last week, Marie Foster-Bruns resigned her position with Purdue Alumni Association. Marie has made many positive contributions during her tenure here, and we wish her the very best in her future endeavors. The Outreach and Engagement team directors will now report to Jillian Henry, Vice President of Organizational Development. Jillian works closely with our own board of directors, serving as corporate secretary and is eager to work more with our volunteer leaders. All clubs and networks will continue working with their regional liaison. Please let us know if you have any questions.
