Good afternoon Roy,

It is a beautiful February day here on campus! We have much to share as we enter March. Wisconsin tomorrow. IU game on Saturday. Tournament time approaching. Springtime. Scholarships. Training a new colleague. It is going to be a great season!

Alumni Club Email Address – alumn...@purdueforlife.org

Over the next few weeks, you will see an updated contact email on the alumni clubs page, individual club pages, and the alumni club resources on Purdue for Life’s website. The entire alumni clubs team has access to the alumn...@purdueforlife.org address. You will also begin receiving some emails from us from that email address, and majority of the form confirmations will come from this address.

Alumni Clubs Form Page - purdueforlife.org/alumni-leaders/clubs/alumni-club-request-forms

We are really excited about this one as it streamlines our most common requests. You will know what information we need in one spot for each request, which will expedite each one. What’s available?

  • Club Email & Event
  • Event Box
  • Game Watch Location
  • Speaker
  • Web Page Updates

B1G & NCAA Basketball Game Watches

It is most wonderful time of the year! At least for me. We are spicing up the language in the emails to build excitement and direct alumni and friends to visit the game watch webpage throughout the tournaments to stay up-to-date on locations.

·         The deadline to submit is 12:00 PM ET on the Tuesday prior to the upcoming tournament games:

o   March 8

o   March 15

o   March 22

·         All submissions must be through the Game Watch Location request form.

o   If you do not know the exact location, please still let us know that you will be having a game watch. As soon as you know the location, submit the Game Watch Location request form. We will update the site as the forms come in, including for the weekend games.

More Exciting News on the Tournament Front!

After talking to multiple other alumni engagement facing organizations, we developed a QR code table tent for game watches. These lovely new tents will give our alumni and friends the engagement credit they deserve and help us all better track attendance, engagement, and trends. If your club will be hosting tournament game watches, please submit the Event Box request and select “Watch Party Table Tent.” Here is a sneak peek!

Email Communications

If you have an alumni/friend who states he/she is not receiving email from the club, Purdue University, and/or Purdue for Life Foundation, send at least the following information to alumn...@purdueforlife.org.

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email

Scholarships

·         Club-selected scholarships held at Purdue

o   Please send Kim, alumn...@purdueforlife.org, the list of committee members as soon as possible. We will begin sending the Division of Financial Aid’s Confidentiality Form through DocuSign this week. Each committee member will receive his/her own personal link.

o   We will begin sharing scholarship applications the week of March 15 with further details.

·         DFA-selected scholarships held at Purdue

o   We will begin sharing the recipient names the week of May 9.

·         Scholarships not held at Purdue.

o   Good luck! We look forward to hearing more about your recipients over the coming months.

Training a new colleague, you ask?

We hired a new assistant director of alumni clubs! This person will begin on March 14 and I look forward to introducing you all then.

Thank you for all you do to engage Purdue’s alumni, friends and fans in Colorado. Have a wonderful week! Boiler Up! Hammer Down! Beat IU!

Hail Purdue!

-Natalie
