Edward Minty Purcell Jr.--searching for Issue/marriage

Hello.

I am looking to find evidence of the wife and/or children of Edward M. Purcell Jr of Richmond/Gloucester Co Virginia, born c 1755 in Richmond (father Edward Minty Purcell, mother Letty REdman).  Find Edward M Purcell Jr and Edward M Purcell Sr on property tax rolls for Gloucester Co Va to 1812, Edward Jr only in 1813. Find military service record for War of 1812. Ancestry searches have been equivocal (ie family trees with no documentation).

This is not the Purcell line that goes to Hampshire VA or Indiana.

There is a book you can see on Familysearch.org under search.books called "Purcells of Virginia with Allied Families" by Anne Reed Ritchie that has detailed information for this family.
