William Purcell and Catherine Brower

[Susan Farrell]

I am researching William Purcell (1817-1874) and his wife Catherine Brower.  They lived in Richland County Wisconsin moving there from Knox County Indiana.  William says that he was born in Virginia and may have had the middle initial of B.  Also, he may have had a prior marriage in Indiana.  Many have connected them to the John Purcell and Mary Bland family but I cannot find any supporting documentation or how this connection was formed.  If you can assist with this I most appreciate it.
