This Saturday morning, June 6, we will be having our next Puptown
cleaning day, starting at 8:00 a.m. Just bring yourself (as well as
your four-legged friends, of course) and a pair of gloves. All other
materials are already be there. Bernie will be leading the cleaning
this week. Just look for the guy in the Puptown "Join the Pack" t-shirt.
We are looking for volunteers to act as co-captains of future cleaning
days, starting with the next one on June 20. See the list of dates at
the bottom of the message.
Some of us have already volunteered to be captains for a few of the
cleaning days. If you are interested in being a co-captain of one of the
open slots below, simply reply to this e-mail or e-mail Bernie directly
at ber...@puptown.org.
Being a captain is easy. No experience is necessary. You just need to
be willing to answer questions and pass out brooms & rakes.
If you are willing to be a co-captain, but you're worried that you don't
know what cleaning the park entails, you can either 1) sign up for a day
that already has a host (and they can show you the ropes) or 2) come to
one of the early cleaning days and Bernie will be demonstrating the
steps to cleaning the park.
Of course, if you don't feel comfortable hosting, you can just show up
on any of the cleaning days below and someone will hand you a rake or a
broom. It takes 6-10 volunteers each cleaning day to make the park
sparkle. We try to have a good time and finish by 9:30 a.m. ...
