Hi,

I am using hieradata with puppet modules. Can I include hieradata in my puppet module repository? I can use a .pmtignore file and exclude hieradata from bundling to the puppet module. What is the best practise?

Thank you!

Including hieradata in your controlrepo is a common practice recommended now by Puppet. See http://garylarizza.com/blog/2015/11/16/workflows-evolved-even-besterer-practices/ for an explanation of why and https://github.com/puppetlabs/control-repo for an example layout.
