Hello everyone!

We are writing because our friends in Mexico are on their last 9 hours to raise the final funds to complete their documentary about the impact of GMO corn on the culture and economy of Mexico.

The film's director, Teresa Camou, is a puppeteer and one of our close collaborators on all of the puppetry projects we've done in Mexico. We want to support her as much as possible to reach her goal. See their latest update, below.

Please check out their project and consider donating even $5 to help them get to their goal. They REALLY need the support!

Thank you!

Project Update #5: TODAY is the DAY:11 hrs to go//11 horas para que se termine la campaña en Kickstarter

Posted by Teresa Camou Like

Today is the day, Kickstarter is coming to an end, and we are still looking to reach our goal, because we believe in our project. We thank all of those who have reached us out and helped this dream come true.

We have 11 more hours to go, your support makes a huge difference!! What you do TODAY it DOES have a huge impact on tomorrow!!

So why is it important to support a film on the situation in Mexico, if you´re sitting in the US? Because Mexico is the world´s genetic reservoir of corn. If US crops catastrophically fail, as they did once in the 70s, the genes need to be renewed. US corn crops were revitalized with Mexican genes. Now, do you want to leave that entirely up to a few companies, or do you think Food Democracy is a better idea?

Another reason the issues that Sunnú addresses affect you is that the dismantling of rural Mexico due to NAFTA created one of the largest human exoduses in history. Many of the disenfranchised went north to better their lot. Healthy rural communities lead to less violence, less immigration, healthier food, healthier economies, healthier ecosystems, and happier people in general. Please pitch in what a cup of coffee and a danish would cost, and let´s have a huge list of supporters at the end of the film that reflects a change in consciousness.

Greetings,

Sumate a SUNNÚ!!!
