Hey everyone!

We thought we'd give you an update about our Occupy Kabaret Street event! If you haven't heard by now, the cabaret was organized in collaboration with the Free Franklin group who occupied the Franklin School building November 19th.

In and of itself, the cabaret was a wonderful event with great performances in locations that highlighted inspiring social movement history. PBS News Hour put together a fantastic online tour of the cabaret, following the route with pictures and sound clips. If you weren't able to go, you can get a pretty good taste of the cabaret here: http://to.pbs.org/sf3D8i
Puppet Underground's show at the end of the cabaret was about the history of the Franklin School building. Towards the end of the show we revealed to the audience that Franklin was occupied through a dramatically timed banner drop. You can see a video of that moment followed by Free Franklin's statement here:
We wrote a blogpost for the Puppet Slam Network about how we collaborated with Free Franklin. To read about how the cabaret served to support the occupation of Franklin, check out our post: http://puppetslam.blogspot.com/2011/12/occupy-kabaret-street-puppetry-joins.html

And finally, we just want to highlight that although we don't have a website yet, we do have a facebook page. We post updates, pictures, videos, and sometimes events that we wouldn't normally send out to the wider list. So if you want to keep up on what we're doing, then click "Like" for our facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Puppet-Underground/56298529606

Happy holidays!
