It’s time for a puppet slam! Local puppet company Wit's End Puppets is bringing together some of the region's best puppet creators for a night of serious, abstract, silly and thought-provoking puppet theater. Think poetry slam, but with puppets! The evening will feature Wit’s End Puppets, Katherine Fahey, Hamida Khatri, Schroeder Cherry and His Puppets, Alex & Olmsted, Matt McGee, String Theory Theatre, David Greenfieldboyce, Marianne Ross and the music group Petty Indulgences. WHO IS PUPPET UNDERGROUND?
We are a puppeteer's collective in DC committed to using art and performance to support movements and grassroots organizing for social and economic justice. We have offered community art workshops, street theater shows, puppets, stilters, and helped develop creative organizing strategies. We also support great local puppet happenings and touring puppet shows.
