Priorities

  1. Puppet 3.4.0 Release
  2. PE 3.2 support
  3. Facter 1.7.4 release and Facter 2.0 planning
  4. New Language Evaluator

Commentary

Chugging along on the 3.4.0 release…hopefully that will end soon. Ramping up on the 3.5.0 release. Take a look at
https://tickets.puppetlabs.com/secure/ReleaseNote.jspa?projectId=10102&version=11009 to see everything that we currently have targeted at 3.5.0.

We did another PR triage hangout. There were a few people who showed up…and our manners were not the greatest so they quickly dropped back off before we even got to find out who they were. We'll be working on that to make sure that the hangouts are more inviting. I also need to figure out a way of making them more prominent. What should we do to get more people showing up?

Adrien has been working on how to get structured facts into a facter 2.0 release. If you have any questions ping him or Kylo.

Henrik and Joshua are working through the new evaluator that will be backing the new parser. The 3.5.0 release of puppet will have a "--parser future" that will be closer to what we will be putting out in a future puppet 4, but it likely won't be final by that point. Also, since we are re-writing the evaluator, there may (will) be some breaks in --parser future in 3.5.0.

A bit more warning would be good, I missed it as the last notification
went out on the same day.

Would posting to this list with a link about 24 hours in advance be good? Or is there some other way I should set it up? Shared calendar maybe?

24 hours would just about be enough. Another way might be a Google+
event and/or Google+ community, but this list is probably the best way
to let most developers know about it.

Never knew about G+ Events. I just tried creating one, so we can try it out for the next one on Wednesday.
