New fact groups can be defined in facter.conf. e.g.
{code:java}
fact-groups : {  cached-group : ["os"], blocked-group : ["timezone"] }
{code}
The new defined group can be used to block or cache facts. e.g.
 
{code:java}
facts : { blocklist : [ "blocked-group" ], ttls : [ { "cached-group" : 30 days }, ] }{code}
