How many users can login to the Puppet console before it falls over
Issue Type: New Feature New Feature
Assignee: Unassigned
Created: 2020/10/01 10:23 AM
Priority: Normal Normal
Reporter: Patrick Mayes

How many users can login to the puppet console at the same time before it becomes un-usable.  We are looking for the specific testing that was done by Puppet.  Did you find that running 200 users all at the same time with a 8x16 system got a 80% CPU and 70% MEM usage or what the results were.  I know there could be differences between if they are virtual vs physical or if we're running vmware or have vmware setup on a specific hardware...  I'm just looking for what was tested with as much information as possible so we can do some calculations on our side.  This is for a XL Architecture running 2019.2.x.

Margaret Lee, this is the Jira ticket Patrick submitted today to track their request you, Jonathan Newman, and Steve Axthelm discussed with him a couple of weeks ago. He heard your feedback that currently no resources/time are available for this request, but Patrick asks to keep this on your mind to consider in your future plannings.
