Puppet Enterprise 2023.6 and LTS 2021.7.7 are here!

Today, Puppet Enterprise 2023.6 and Puppet Enterprise LTS 2021.7.7 were released — delivering enhancements to improve enterprise scale and performance, security, and time to value. 

Puppet Enterprise 2023.6 focuses on performance to deliver faster, more efficient automation workflows by optimizing catalog objects stored in the database. Users can expect increased responsiveness so they can meet the demands of modern IT operations. The release also improves scalability to ensure that automation remains robust and reliable, even in large IT environments that constantly increase concurrent plans. 

Security is a top priority, and this release includes critical updates to Java, Postgres, and logback to enhance Puppet Enterprise's overall security posture. Users can now specify ciphers to use when establishing connections to configured LDAP servers. 

Automation should be straightforward and clear — the 2023.6 release introduces user-friendly features and an intuitive interface, making it easier for both new and experienced users to navigate. The new Operational status page shows the result of the latest checks performed and highlights the items that need attention. The console also offers a guided workflow for configuring and running task jobs. 

The Puppet Enterprise LTS 2021.7.7 release contains important security updates for Java, Postgres, and Logback. 

Both Puppet Enterprise 2023.6 and LTS 2021.7.7 add support for AIX 7.3 agents.
