We’re excited to announce the release of Puppet Enterprise Administration Module (PEADM) v3.23.0, bringing new features, enhanced compatibility, and important fixes to improve your Puppet Enterprise (PE) management experience!

 

Key Highlights:

• Support for New PE Versions: PEADM now supports the latest Long-Term Support (LTS) releases of Puppet Enterprise, including 2023.8.0 LTS and 2021.7.9 LTS. Stay up to date with the newest PE versions for enhanced stability and security. 

• Back Up and Restore: You can now easily back up your Puppet Enterprise installation using the peadm::backup plan and restore it with the peadm::restore plan. This feature supports full system recovery as well as custom backups for specific services, ensuring seamless restoration of your primary server and its services. 

• node_manager Fixes: We’ve addressed an issue in the node_manager module that was causing upgrade failures. With the adoption of the WhatsARanjit/node_manager module into the puppetlabs namespace, the bug has been resolved, and PEADM has been updated to use the fixed version. 

• Experimental Plans Now Supported: The previously experimental add_compiler and add_replica plans are now officially supported. These plans make it easier to manage compilers and replicas within your Puppet infrastructure, providing more robust and reliable options for expanding your environment.
