The next release in the Puppet 7 series, Puppet 7.4.0, is now available!
The release contains bug fixes, security fixes, and minor improvements, including:
Improves the performance of the apt package provider when removing packages.
Added a `--timing` option in `puppet facts show`. This flag shows you how much time it takes to resolve each fact.
The apt package provider now allows you to install packages from a (?) local file using the source parameter.
The `useradd` provider now checks the `forcelocal` parameter and gets local information on the groups (from `/etc/groups`) and gid (from `/etc/passwd`) of the user when requested.
This release ships with Facter 4.0.50,
The AIX networking resolver now uses FFI to detect networking interfaces and IPs.
Improves the performance of blocking legacy facts.
Facter now prioritizes information from registry on Windows.
