Puppet Enterprise 2023.8.1 has been released!

We are pleased to announce the release of Puppet Enterprise (PE) 2023.8.1! This update ensures seamless upgrades to the 2023.8.x release track from previous versions. 

  

Key Highlights of 2023.8.1: 

• This release resolves an issue introduced in 2023.0 which could prevent a successful upgrade to the 2023.8.x track from previous PE versions. 

 

Upgrade Recommendation: 

If you haven’t yet upgraded to the 2023.8.x track, we recommend bypassing 2023.8.0 and moving directly to 2023.8.1 for a seamless upgrade experience. 

  

Issue Details: 

In version 2023.8.0, a bug was identified that could prevent an upgrade to 2023.8.0 from previous PE versions. This is due to behaviour in the migration code causing connection issues which has been thoroughly investigated and is resolved in 2023.8.1.
