We’re excited to announce that Puppet Continuous Delivery v5.10.0 and v4.36.0 are now available.
The v5.10.0 release contains the following improvements:
· Added the ability to create and update job templates via the API.
· Added a new Hiera setting, ‘base_image_download_url’, which allows users to set the default image download location for image tarballs.
· Added a new Hiera setting, `webhook_hostname, which allows users to override the base hostname used when Continuous Delivery automatically registers GitHub webhooks.
· Added a new Hiera setting, ‘job_web_ui_endpoint_override’, which allows users to set the environment variable that controls what URL jobs use to send reports back to Continuous Delivery.
· Added logging for a large set of user-triggered events, including logins and logouts, pipeline edits, pipeline promotions, and control repo and module creation.
· Improved logging when handling webhooks, which now includes the repo and branch associated with the event, as well as the user in the Git provider that triggered the webhook.
· Improved messaging for file resource content changes in Impact Analysis results.
· Added documentation with instructions on how to reset the root user’s password.
The v5.10.0 release contains the following fixes:
· Fixed an issue in CD's REST API where it was reporting an unclear error for requests with an incorrect `Content-Type` header
· The podman-plugins package is no longer required during installation in an air-gapped environment.
Both 5.10.0 and 4.36.0 releases contain the following:
· Updated the default version of puppet-dev-tools to one that supports Puppet 8.
· Fixed an issue where Impact Analysis would show spurious changes for Rich Data resources when running against PE 2023.8+.
· Upgraded Continuous Delivery’s internal Bolt to Bolt 4.0.0.
· Improved error messages when editing repos to clarify the underlying error.
These releases also contain security vulnerability fixes in addition to the above. Full release notes for CD v5.10.0 can be found here and release notes for CD v4.36.0 can be found here.
