Hello,

I installed Pupil capture and did the mentioned driver setup for the camera's on Windows 10. When I choose a particular camera on the Capture window, I see the following errors:
"Error getting frame - Stopping eye process" or
"Selected camera already in use or blocked"

Could you please tell me what I should do now?

Thanks in advance!

Best Regards,
Ravi

Hi Ravi,

This error is usually due to drivers not being properly installed. If you open the Device Manager and share a screenshot of devices under the `libusbK` category we may be able to provide some concrete advice.

Unfortunately driver installation on Windows is not always so easy. That is why we are working on a custom driver installer that we plan to add to the upcoming release (provided it works robustly).

Another thing you can try it to uninstall all drivers you installed for Pupil cameras, unplug Pupil headset, shutdown your computer, and then after reboot you can run a tool that is distributed with libusbK called `InfWizard 2.0` (search for Driver Install Creator Wizard). Select `libusbK v3.0.7`. Plug in Pupil headset. Select one of the Pupil cameras from the list under `Show All Devices` and click `Next` and click `Next` again to create the driver installer. Follow instructions for the wizard. You may need to repeat for other Pupil cams.

Again, we will simplify this process for Pupil hardware on Windows 10 - but if you are using your own custom cameras - then you will need to install libusbK drivers yourself.

I hope this is helpful.

Best regards,
Will

Hi Ravi,

I have just revised the driver installation process for Windows 10.

Please could you do the following:
  1. Open Device Manager
    1. View > Show Hidden Devices
    2. libUSBK Usb Devices
      1. For each device listed (even hidden devices) click "Uninstall" and check the box agreeing to "Delete the driver software for this device" and press OK
      2. Repeat for each device in libUSBK Usb Devices
  2. Download Pupil Labs Driver installer
  3. pupil_labs_camera_drivers_windows_x64
    1. Unzip
    2. Run InstallDriver.exe
  4. Restart computer
  5. Open Device Manager
    1. You should see cameras listed in libusbK
  6. Run pupil_capture.exe
Please let us know if this resolves driver issues.

Best regards,
Will
