Dear Pupil Community,

Transition Plan: Google Groups --> Chat & Github issues
We would like to announce that we will be transitioning away from Google Groups in favor of chat channels for discussion and Github issues for debugging and feature requests.

This forum has served us well and was a great place to get started in building the community. As the community and Pupil project has evolved over the years, we have found it more and more difficult to maintain and moderate this forum. For us, it is more efficient and effective to discuss projects and respond to questions via chat and to file issues on Github for software development. This enables the team at Pupil Labs

Therefore the pupil-discuss group will now be put into read-only mode. You will still be able to search through and read past posts, but new posts will not be allowed.

Chat with us on DiscordApp
We have been using DiscordApp for a while now. It has enabled us to maintain a more direct relationship with the community. DiscordApp runs on all platforms and devices either via browser or apps. Join the Pupil server via this invite link: https://pupil-labs.com/chat (note: this link will redirect you to DiscordApp)

Channel overview
#pupil - this channel is for community discussion and any/all questions pertaining to Pupil
#research-and-publications - this channel is for community discussion revolving around research topics and publications
#hmd-eyes - this channel is for community discussion about eye tracking in VR/AR using Pupil Labs add-ons and the hmd-eyes Unity3d plugin

File an issue on Github
If you have discovered a bug or want to request a feature, we encourage you to file an issue on Github - https://github.com/pupil-labs/pupil/issues - You might also want to consider discussing the issue/feature/behavior first on the #pupil chat channel (see above) to get some quick feedback.

We look forward to continuing the discussion with you and look forward to seeing what you are working on with Pupil :)

Best regards,
Will
