Hi all,

I just recently got the HTC vive add-ons for my lab, and been trying to familiarize myself with the system. so far I have been working with the new windows bundle, and other then some crashes the tracking seems good.
I have a couple of questions that were probably raised but I couldn't find a direct answer to them, so maybe you could help me.

after running the calibration protocol from unity (detailed here: https://github.com/pupil-labs/hmd-eyes) I couldn't understand whether or not the calibration worked. when I record after the calibration the capture screen tells me that no user calibration file is found. should I record the data collected in the calibration protocol, and create a file and introduce it before recording? is a file like this created automatically and I just need to move it or something?
do I need the calibration scene to be apart of my project and just run my scene right after calibration?

another thing I was wandering about is whether or not there is an easy way of selecting the world camera capture source from the front facing camera in the vive or even the virtual reality projection itself?

Thanks in advance,

Ofer.

we met via video. So I guess this question has been answered :-)!

Best,

Hi!
I'd like to read the answer for that question here too ) And it will be great if you explain for newbie user of Pupil's HTC Vive add-on how to use it in general. Let me explain my issue:
1) All of this staff I use in Windows 10
2) I've connect add-on to HTC vive
3) I've run Pupil Capture
4) I've run SteamVR (HTC Vive initialized and front camera is enabled in settings)

What to do next? I see to video stream from eye camers but world camera isn't working and there is no HTC Vive's camera in the list of sources.

My first goal is: Wear HTC Vive. Run some application and write eye tracking info when I playing for future investigation.

Can you help me?

Hi,

the Pupil Capture app will not pic up the vive camera. Instead we are tracking gaze in the VR environment. I recommend heading over to the hmd-eyes discord channel and talk with @kornel.l.varga

Best,
Moritz
