Braided are easier on the hands to be sure. 5/8ths is as small as I would
suggest. On our Krogen 42 with lesser weight than your boat we use both
3/4" and 5/8ths, generally braided. You can make up for the smaller size
(5/8ths) by adding more lines if necessary, if the smaller size makes it
easier for you.
