Georgs
Great to hear from you. Yes the Diesel Duck Dora Mac just finished a circumnavigation Of Europe. We have been in the Mediterranean since April 2011 and on May 30, 2013 we departed Marmaris, Turkey headed for London. After 3,217 NM we arrived in London on September 2, where we wintered over at St Katherine's Dock.
In the spring we moved the boat across the channel to Vlissingen, Netherlands where we removed and stowed the mast and paravane poles. We then made our way 3,900 km through the Rhine and Main Rivers to the Main/Danube Canal where we reached an altitude of 1,332 feet above sea level.
The remainder of the river trip was done on the fast flowing Danube River that empties into the Black Sea at Sulina, Romania. We reached the Black Sea on August 13. Today, September 8th we reached Marmaris, Turkey.
Along the way we stopped in 87 places. I tell you, river travel is completely different from open water travel. I did finally get comfortable with inches under the keep but on the upper Danube we got held up for nine days at Deggendorf because of low water.
I feel just like I finished skiing down Mount Everest and I don't ski.

"It is not the strongest of species that survives, or the most intelligent,
but the ones most responsive to change" - Charles Darwin
It has been brought to my attention that no Darwin scholar can attest to the accuracy of this quote so who knows who said it. I do like it though and I say: "The species more adaptive to change or the organisms within a species more adaptive to change; change the world"
