Hello guys

hope that you all are enjoying driving your Punto.

Last month we went from Surat to Vadodara in our Punto 1.4 EPk with 5
people. Before the drive my father casually pointed out that this car
is a bit slow and commented whether it actually went to
100!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well he used to drive maruti 800 before Punto & even at high speeds he
could not not make out from the noise & vibration.

On the drive we touched a max of 160 kmph with no one realizing the
speed & it was then that i asked him to check the speedometer. And boy
he was impressed and the car did feel gripped to the road & rock
solid.

Do write in about your experiences.

Hey Rajat,

We all enjoy our cars and no doubt we are driving the India's best
hatch back. Driving pleasure is unbeatable and I know we get carried
away with its road stability and the kind of confidence this car
gives.

Drive safe, cheers!

I am on sudden trip from Delhi to Lucknow.

I drove through Mathura, Agra, Etawa, Kanpur and Lucknow.

Most of the time I drove at 100-110 kph. But I thought to test 1.2 Active top speed.

Guys, I could almost touched 160 (155+ done)  but I had to apply breaks due to other objects on the road. Still there was some space to get padel flored.

Speed can be feel only by looking on speedo.

I travelled 375 kms in 4 hour and 30 minutes. But next 80 kms took around 3 hours.

I consistently do 140 kmph for almost 75% of the Mumbai Pune
expressway as long as the road is straight. Typically, my benchmark is
to clear the expressway in 60 minutes.

Having said that, strict rules
- no weaving to overtake.
- no ridiculous honking. I always flash my headlight first but most
indian counterparts dont seem to realize that.
- absolutely no distractions like popping a chewing gum, drinking
water or trying to enjoy the scenary. For all such activities, I pull
over - period.

Now that's where the blue and me is lovely. I will take phone calls
because I can. Its just like talking to your co-passenger!

And after all this, I enjoy a mileage of 17.7kmpl (end to end).

Guys, at these speeds, do indicate the mileage you'll are
experiencing. Please mention if its IC or end to end mileage.

Great rules aarenes. I wish one could disseminate such stuff to some of the drivers, especially on the Greater NOIDA expressway. The weaving is unbelievable. Your point about the Blue & me is also very valid. It is worth every penny one paid for it.
