We would like to invite you to the third
edition of our annual conference CONNECTKaro,
which will take place at the India
Habitat Centre, New Delhi on 15 and 16 April 2015. Over 350 experts including government
officials, policy makers and practitioners in the field of urban
transport and urban planning will convene to participate in this international
event. Several political leaders, senior bureaucrats, business
leaders and experts are expected to attend.
This year's theme, Smart Cities for Sustainable Development, will
focus on how improved mobility and access, enhanced urban design, equitable
land management, and good financing models will help Indian cities grow
efficiently, sustainably, and inclusively, transforming urban life in
India.
For the first time, we
will also be presenting the CONNECTKaro
Awards 2015, inviting applications from leading and emerging players in the
field of sustainable mobility. The theme for this year’s awards is Active
Transport, and aims to recognise initiatives undertaken by organisations,
teams, and individuals that are bold, innovative, and have successfully changed
peoples’ travel behaviours.
CONNECTKaro is part of a global series of events hosted
by the EMBARQ Network. Eminent speakers at these past events have included
Michael Bloomberg, Jaime Lerner and Jan Gehl. 250 participants attended the
last edition of CONNECTKaro, with 2000 people joining sessions online.
We would be honoured if you could find time in
your busy schedule to participate in the event. Log on to connectkaro.org to register to attend, view the
agenda, see a list of key speakers, and other information. Please let us know if you
have any questions or need any additional information.
