Driver Handbook in Punjab by California State Transport Agency, USA

Dear All,

California State Transport Agency, have developed their Driver Training Book in "Punjabi" . It is very comprehensive document. Kindly have a look and many new things for our own Act, in terms of responsibilities towards Pedestrian and Cyclist.

Such similar exercise can be undertaken for Punjab as well.

We should also get one such booklet printed and given to every driving license applicant. before issuing him DL he/she should be thoroughly examined. This test should be computerized , only pass ones should be given DL. Then they will know the value of it.

Hi all,

This California handbook has been available in Punjabi and about 10 other languages for many years and I always say that its a shame for Punjab government which could not develop such document. Also, please visit Punjabi version of Canadian province British Columbia's ICBC website where you would find all driver's license information in Punjabi. We can  choose Punjabi language for our computer based DL exam too here in California. 

We must build collective pressure on the government and the traffic departments in Punjab to learn from California and BC.
