Sharedcab.com, venture funded company disrupting passenger transportation, is looking for tech co-founder.

What’s the concept? You’ll be working on the next big thing in travel space – enabling millions of Indians travel daily on road, affordably. We've got 2 products:

- Sharedcab : Solves problem of daily commute. Pools people as per routes, arranges cabs daily, enables people to travel in AC taxi @ auto rates

- Batchcar : Solves problem of getting a taxi. Enables people to get a taxi, reliably, across multiple cab operators. Cleartrip for taxis

Apart from the intellectual kicks and sex quotient, the real fun is in using tech to better people's lives. Our products aim to do that

What's the work?

• Create awesome mobile & web products helping people book single / shared rides on-the-go
  
• Dish out a robust back end that can take care of routing, payments etc.
  
• Toss out awesome app interfaces that people will love
  
• Help with nerdy algos involving maps – routing, pooling, dispatching etc.
  
• Conjure a slew of on-the-go web + mobile enabled products
  
• Marry with dozens of 3rd party systems – some with APIs, many without!
  
• Kick ass analytics and decision support systems

Who’s behind all this? 2 guys who’ve pitched it in all they got. NV – BITS + IIM L, ex-business head Future Group; Prakash – IIT K & Kellogg, ex-I Banker, Barclays. What's in it for me? Starting up is difficult, right from figuring 'what to do' to 'how do I get water in my office'. With the foundation that we've built, you may have the best of both worlds: Build awesome stuff and become the lord of tech, with lesser muck to solve. You'll get sizeable equity (and we're not talking 0.5%) -- we want you to co-own the business and drive it as your own.

What should you have? Deep passion for building systems. Completely open to learning new stuff and reinventing old. Right mix of aggression and persistence to solve problems. BIG eye for detail. Proven track record of executing large-ish systems and running mission critical operations.

What ammo should you bring? You should be a kickass coder who has developed some applications (web/mobile) and can solve problems. Some words that should ring a bell are Rails, Python, Postgres, PostGIS, Coffeescript, Angular JS, Git. Work ex would be a plus.

Is there anything else? Yes. Some of you may have discussed starting up with your friends. Why don't you do that with us? If you're more than 1 person interested in being part of this, we're game with that. Why? This project is MUCH larger than what it looks -- so we welcome more hands, with significant equity for each.
