I think you're spot on there with the topics list - in any case, that we can refine as we go along.
April 10 sounds good for me.
Do you want to just make a public announcement then? u have access to the twitter, facebook and meetup pages, right?
I'd volunteer to moderate, showdown is always interesting. I guess if we can pre-announce some of the topics (like favourite authentication plugin, error notification, whatever), then some people can come prepared.
Do we generally expect a more technical audience this time? or the other way round? That would kind of affect the hackfest, I think.
For hackfest, do we have enough time to do it in a rails meetup? I would suggest, let's have another meetup without hackfest to further gague the audience, and then do a hackfest only event some time. that should be an all day event, I would guess, to make sure that there's enough time to .... hack... I mean, program!
Btw - given that there's ruby conf, I would suggest that you also give a session on 'my experiences from ruby conf' :-) - unless everyone would have gone to rubyconf!
