Anyway thanks.  Any word on the soldering irons or Eagle CAD license?
I think that was all the basic competitors were to receive.

It would have been awesome to have had the Eagle CAD license today.  We're doing a PCB design workshop using Eagle today at our Hackerspace in Shanghai and we've reached the attendance limit of 15 already... Quite popular subject. Is it a site license good for all the members? Anyone has it yet?

plus three others

I'm not saying this with the intention of hurting the feelings of the
competition sponsors, nor am I such a zealot as to say all proprietary
software is bad, but... I can't help saying "this doesn't happen with
free software".

(Both gEDA and KiCad are very good. I know KiCad best. If you get
stuck in the tutorial, I'm in the #kicad IRC channel some 16 hours a
day to help. You can also get gEDA help in the ##pcb channel)
