Hello Alok

 

It is a US tax related product which is being used b CPAs.DB size is around 90GB. We want to check if have any opportunity of implementing BigData.

So now what I am looking at is: Basic information @ BigData, How it is used - Customization, How to analyze whether we should go ahead with or not etc.

Hi Ajit,

Volume is only one aspect of Big data. Big data is generally used to get 360 degree views of the customers. If it's only the data volume issue, then I think Hadoop will do. But if the company is interested in learning more about their customers and gaining insights from unstructured data, then big data solutions can help. 

For example, Macys.com uses big data and turns it into insights in a timely, almost a daily fashion, so as to respond to any kind of consumer demand changes or marketplace changes. They use it to optimize their pricing and inventory.
