Software Freedom Day - 2021

Hi Everyone,

Software Freedom Day at Panjab University is just a month away. This year is the 12th edition of SFD. We are proud to say that the previous year went well and we have people selected in GSOC, Outreacy, The Linux Foundation, GirlsScript and more.

• Team consists of total 18 people: Archit, Kshitij, Tarun, Sashank, Gurnameh, Ashwani, Aryan, Harbans, Kanishk, Vaibhav, Amrinder, Gaurika, Meghna, Ritvik, Jatin, Aditi, Shatabarto and Abhiroop

• We have started contacting Organizations and Companies like Gathertown for sponsorships for interactive platforms to facilitate a networking-oriented environment.
• We'll be conducting SFD virtually this year as well, since these are uncertain times and it'll be easier to target a global audience. In order to reach maximum people we'll be boosting our posts on our social media handles (username: @sfdpu).
  Dates for the event are probably 18-19 September. But we are not sure whether new students will get admission till then or not. So if not, we also need to decide whether to shift this year's SFD a bit or not.
  Till now no confirmations have been given by the College on this matter.
  Suggestions are welcome regarding this matter.
