Incorrect pulse descriptor?

to PulseWaves - no pulse left behind
Hello,

I’m parsing a PulseWaves dataset which is a portion of the recently released Dublin scan and encounter an issue with the Pulse Descriptor. I’m thinking the problem might come from the software producing the data (that’s PulseWaves DLL 0.3 r11 (140921) if the file header is correct). I’d appreciate if somebody here could confirm the issue.

From the variable length records, I can see Pulse Descriptor #7 is ‘1 x RP, 3 x LP, 0 x HP’ meaning there should be 3 segments in the returning sampling. But it seems there are only 2 segments available in the waves file for that pulse type. The next wave segment is from the subsequent emitting sampling. The issue is consistent for all pulses having Pulse Descriptor index 7. I have exported the data to text using PulseTools and observed the same issue (pulse descriptor shows 3 but there are only 2 returning segments). In brief, that seems to be an inconsistency between the metadata displayed in Pulse Descriptor and the actual content of the wave file, which might trouble software parsing the data.

The files can be downloaded here.

Thanks,
