Dear Professional Media Colleagues,

As some of you may already be aware, I teach Journalism and Media Studies at the University of Liberia. This semester, I am teaching Elections Reporting and Investigative Journalism.

A core requirement of the Investigative Journalism course is that students—working either individually or in groups—produce at least one student-level investigative story. Working with them closely, in a newsroom-style editor–reporter process, the students have developed two investigative stories produced in groups.

I believe these stories meet basic publication standards. They address real, public-interest issues, not speculative subjects, and were developed through reporting, verification, and rewriting.

As a way of motivating and exposing these future journalists to professional practice, I kindly request your support in considering these stories for publication on your respective platforms—subject, of course, to your editorial policies, review, and scrutiny.

Should any of the stories be published, I would sincerely appreciate it if you could share the publication link with me, particularly for academic documentation and student motivation.

Thank you very much for your continued support in nurturing Liberia’s next generation of journalists.

Warm regards,

Danicius Kaihenneh Sengbeh

Dear All,

As the country discusses the Yellow Machines procured by Government, I have decided to share my personal reflections in an article titled “Taxation Made Visible: Why Liberia’s Yellow Machines Matter.” Drawing on Fiscal Exchange Theory, Tax Morale Theory, and Framing Theory, I argue that these machines demonstrate how taxpayer contributions translate into roads, jobs, market access, and real bread-and-butter benefits for Liberian families. Ultimately, the article reframes taxation not as a burden, but as a shared investment in national development.

You can either access the article attached below or from my personal blog : The WeepingPen: https://sengbeh.wordpress.com/2026/02/28/taxation-made-visible-why-liberias-yellow-machines-matter/

I hope it makes it on your esteem platform and a good read for your valued audience
