Dear All,
There is a programme for Youth Empowerment held by AOL youth wing at Gurgaon from coming 2nd April to 8th April. Please send it to interested persons, friends.
Excerpts form Karhtik, AOL Guy who is co-ordinator of this programme at Gurgaon -
It gives me immense pleasure to announce the most comprehensive workshop(YES+) for youth in the age group of 18-30.
Welcome to YES!+, a program that powerfully addresses key issues relevant to the youth of today, and brings about a profound change in their attitude towards life.
Confidence, clarity of mind, focus and heightened energy levels become natural to the young people after undergoing this training, resulting in academic excellence, ability to lead and strong interpersonal skills. They gain the ability to overcome and drop long standing bad habits like smoking, consumption of alcohol and substance and systems abuse.
Main Aspects of the Program:
1) Physical – Challenging body exercises, yoga and innovative breathing techniques.
2) Mental – Practical knowledge and interactive processes to improve memory, concentration & focus.
3) Social - Experiential processes to develop problem solving strategies and social skills; Interactive processes to develop leadership and life skills; Teamwork exercises to teach cooperation and conflict resolution.
4) Emotional – Group discussions designed to help one feel at ease in challenging situations, and increase confidence and inner strength to better handle criticism and peer pressure.

"A very refreshing, calming experience in this crazy, fast-paced world. I am definitely more focused and relaxed after taking this course. I would whole-heartedly recommend it to everyone."
Student, University of Massachusetts
"The course has helped me be a better observer of myself and my behavior. The result .. calmer mind, which in turn has helped me become more effective and productive."
Student, Stanford University
"An awesome experience. The techniques that were taught were simple, yet powerful. After doing the course, I found that whenever I practiced the Kriya and the pranayama, I would feel alert and refreshed throughout the day. It taught me to enjoy the simple things of life, and be happy, come what may."
Student, Georgia Tech, Atlanta
"Just information is not education. It is culturing our behavior, culturing our attitude and the ability to perceive things better. Perception, Observation and Expression - the three aspects of education have to be improved."
- Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Founder of the Art of Living Foundation
