Wenarrowed the search down to 4 brands/models, and after an hour of checking the others out, we finally looked at the Siemens range. Adrian at Winning Appliances was incredibly professional, knowledgeable and understanding of what we were looking for within our budget. We had not even considered this model because it was out of our price range, however as the floor model was about to be replaced he offered it at an awesome price so we jumped at it.

Things we love about it ... the smooth ball-bearing rails, the easy-to-clean trays (I clean them manually, not in the pyro cycle), the soft-close door, the 1deg C temp adjustment below 100C, the easy to navigate menu system, that it is able to keep the correct time (!), the interior light is at the front so you can easily see what's happening ... the list goes on.

We've used the steam function a few times but our style of cooking doesn't really lend itself to using steam, we think. That might change after we go to a cooking demo. It's been almost 12 months and frankly we haven't felt the need to attend a demo as the oven's performance has been so good and we are always delighted with the results.

The ovens cook really, really, well. I love cooking pizza and these actually get hot enough to get a really nice base, which most ovens struggle to achieve (IMHO). The '4D hot air' mode cooks really evenly, top and bottom shelf. I've never liked induction but this cooktop is really good. Performance is great.
