Hello PSCSTA Google Group members!

While our leadership has been a little quiet lately, more has been going on behind the scenes than you know. Josh (our current chapter president) and Lauren (chapter treasurer) attended the CSTA summit last summer. Through the fall we have been working to migrate our chapter resources from our old site to where we can be better supported by the national organization.

To that end

  1. Our website is now hosted here: https://web.membernova.com/400366/, although if you want to get their easily you can still go to http://pscsta.org . An archived version of our website can be found here: https://pscsta.github.io

  2. IMPORTANT: We are retiring this google group. As of February 1, 2020, no new messages will be allowed through this list. We will retain this list for historical purposes.

  3. All new messages and information about our group will be posted through the CSTA member portal for our chapter. You can find this by going to https://csteachers.org and clicking on the Chapters->Find your chapter and look for Puget Sound CSTA.

  4. Some, but not all information about news and events will also go out on our social media: https://www.facebook.com/groups/pscsta and https://twitter.com/pscsta as our volunteers have time. (i.e. Hint: make sure you join CSTA to get all news and events!)

What can you do?

  1. JOIN CSTA and become a member of our chapter! It’s free! Note: there is an optional $50 per year fee for CSTA+ which can add benefits to your membership:

  2. Become involved in PSCSTA!!!. This is a lean operation and we would thrive with more involvement. We are currently looking for people who are interested in anything from helping with our social media presence to being on our leadership team.

  3. Attend an event!! Come be social with other folks interested in CS Education in the Puget Sound region!

Best

Josh Caldwell, President

Tracey Sconyers, Vice President

Lauren Bricker, Treasurer
