I wanted to make you aware of an internship
program that is run here at the FHCRC during the summers. I have
volunteered to host a student this summer in my computational biology group and
I wanted to see if I could do some “leg work” to find someone good. I guess I
would go so far as to say that someone would have to be a pretty talented
hacker for them to have a good summer experience with us. I should also say
that the program is specifically designed for students from underrepresented
ethnic groups as defined
by the NIH.
So, please keep your eyes out. Also, if you know of any other teachers in the area that you think might have promising students, please send on their email addresses and I will check in with them.
