Hi all,

There have been some questions about whether or not we will be running a programming contest this year. As we have mentioned before, running the programming contest involves a lot of volunteers to make it run smoothly (a partial list is below). But before we can commit we need to have the following in place

1. A date (we’re thinking of 12/14 if we can find a venue and kick this off in the next week or so)
2. Closely related: a venue. Preferably a venue that is free or low cost.
3. Someone to be our Contest/volunteer coordinator

So far none of these are in place - we have a number of people who have been coordinator in the past, but they are not able to run the contest this time. We do have much of this documented and folks who are willing to help out (like we might have someone who can handle registration, T-shirts/Trophies, and some to help with packet generation). We do most of our meetings virtually once every 2 weeks for the first month, then once a month as we get closer to the contest date.

So if you are interested in this contest happening
a) step up. email csta.pu...@gmail.com and let us know you’re willing to help
b) help us find a venue that is available!

If we do not find a venue or contest lead by Sunday 10/20 we more than likely will not hold the event.

Best,
Lauren for the Planning committee
