Dear CSP Providers and Teachers,
We will be hosting the CSP Providers and Teachers Forum, a free pre-symposium event at SIGCSE 2020 in Portland, OR (https://sigcse2020.sigcse.org/).
This will be the third gathering of CS Principles educators, providers, and teachers in a structured session at SIGCSE. This forum was created to fill the need for a community for CS Principles providers and teachers to discuss best practices and feedback, or share teaching experiences.
We are trying something new with the forum this year, focusing more on engaging community discussions over standalone presentations. As such, we are soliciting discussion topics from the community and volunteer moderators and panelists. These are examples of topics discussed in previous forums:
- Successes and failures of CSP professional development - Common teaching issues providers and teachers encounter - Teacher recruitment strategies and keeping in touch with teachers - Student recruitment strategies - Preparing for the AP CSP exam - How to read the results of the AP CSP exam
This half-day workshop will be in the morning on Wednesday, March 11 from 8:30 AM to 12 PM. We will have a more definitive agenda closer to the day of this event.
